Trusting God moment by moment

A wedding guest accepts the gift of life.

From the June 2002 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Three Years Ago, my husband and I were delighted to receive a wedding invitation from a lovely young woman whom we had known since she was a toddler. When she was seven, she had been a smiling bridesmaid at the wedding of one of our daughters. Now she was a glowing bride.

The ceremony took place on a mountainside about an hour from our home town. We filled our car with other guests for the trip to the spectacular setting.

At the close of the ceremony, we all stood as the bride and groom walked up the grassy aisle. Suddenly, I felt as if my entire body was becoming paralyzed. I took my husband's arm and whispered that I needed help, and to find a quiet place. I remember telling him this sickness could not affect my God-provided life and health. I was certain I was safe in God. I had learned these truths over a lifetime of studying the Bible and Science and Health.
