From the May 2003 issue of The Christian Science Journal

has raised, trained, and boarded horses for over 25 years. , Journal Staff Editor, talked with Jane recently about her work with these animals.

What do you love about horses?

They are intelligent, majestic, kind animals. And I feel that working with them provides opportunities to develop wonderful partnerships. Praying to see that there's only one Mind, or God, I've found that I can expect to communicate with these animals. You learn to feel and sense what they are thinking so that you can work together as a team, whether it's in competition or just out on a trail ride, sharing the beauty of nature.
