LETTERS

From the June 2006 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Was it just me, or did other readers notice a halo around the Journal for May 2006? The front cover beckoned us inside to read about "My huggin' church" [p. 14], where we also found exquisite art on pages 11 and 27, gratifying news about The Mother Church's chaplain program, convincing testimonies of spiritual healing, heartfelt articles by experienced students of Christian Science, and simple wisdom from a youthful writer in India. The keynote section, pointing our way "From matter to Spirit" [p. 44], recalled an idea shared by a practitioner years ago: "If matter matters most to you, then matter's the matter with you."

I just want to express my gratitude for your article "Saved from hate" in the April Journal. The whole article expressed spiritual clearsightedness—from insights of the dedicated Christian Science practitioners and teachers who contributed to the article text and excellent topic—and makes my heart and thought sing!
