DO YOU HAVE ANY FRIENDS WHO ARE TWINS? Well, we'd like you to meet Grace and Claire Golder, who are eight-year-old twin sisters. They live with their mom and dad, and their younger sister, Julia, in an apartment in Greenwich Village, which is a neighborhood in New York City. They go to a Christian Science Sunday School in Greenwich Village, too.
Both of them told their mom about a time when they prayed so she could write it down for the Kid's Place section of the Journal. That way you would be able to read about it. After they sent their true stories to us, I talked to Grace and Claire on the phone and asked them a few questions—and they asked me a few!—Suzanne Smedley, Journal Staff Editor
From Grace: Hello, my name is Grace. One day I was at school in the playground. I asked my friends if they wanted to play freeze tag. They all said, "Yes!" We got all the lunch boxes from our class and put them in a circle near a wall. That was home base. My friend Nicole was "It." She chased me, and I ran to base. I tripped over a lunch box and twisted my ankle. I cried. Nicole went to get my twin sister, Claire. Claire ran over to me, and then she hugged and kissed me. The bell rang. That means you have to line up. So I did. My sister screamed from her class line, "I will pray for you at choice time!" "OK!" I screamed back. So she did.
