Listen and rejoice

From the November 2011 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Travel can be an opportunity for advancing spiritually by following God’s direction, as I have learned.

A couple of years ago my husband and I took a river boat cruise from Vienna to the Black Sea. In Romania, we left our boat and went to Sinia for a couple of days. The last day there my husband came out of a synagogue, fell on some icy steps, and broke his arm.

We knew that he could not fall from grace and that God was in complete control. Still, it was decided the best thing to do was to fly to Vienna to the hospital there and have the arm set.
