God's immediate care

From the October 2012 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Low on money, no full-time employment, and too much time on my hands; I realized I needed to find a job that would provide enough pocket money for a training course I’d be taking in the summer. Though I’d known of my predicament for weeks, I’d neglected to put in the time to pray and find a solution.

Finally, a simple prayer—I reached out to God, asking Him to please give me a position that wouldn’t merely provide income and fill my time, but give me something that would bless me and bless others.

The next morning the phone rang. A dear senior friend of mine asked if I’d help with an odd-job of organizing books going to various places such as the local library and Goodwill.
