Letters

From the July 2012 issue of The Christian Science Journal

To say a simple “thank you” for the incredible May Journal seems woefully inadequate. The whole issue is jam-packed with inspiration. I didn’t want it to end! Every time I turned a page, it was another “wow” moment. The “Road Diaries” incident reported by Mabiala Mavungu was a touching illustration of what Christian Science lecturers face in their travels. We owe them such a debt of gratitude.

The interview with Robert Warneck was great. I loved hearing about his healing experience and what had come to him in a dream, proving that even when we are sleeping, Truth is still there.

A very precious account was Horst Mehring’s mother’s experience of learning of her acceptance as a member of The Mother Church in the midst of World War II in Nazi Germany. The letter’s coming through the government censors indeed proved that “divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object” (Science and Health, p. 304). One can only imagine the joy and love that was felt by that dear family.
