“These teeth will never come out on their own. I guarantee it.” Those were the words of our family dentist.
Our middle school son was at the dentist’s office for a routine cleaning, and once again the dentist was saying that five baby teeth needed to be extracted. He now predicted various problems that could result if they didn’t come out soon. I’d prayed about this occasionally, but I was sure that we just needed more time—that the teeth would eventually come out. And now the dentist was telling me this was not going to happen—he “guaranteed” it.
At earlier cleanings the dentist had gently encouraged the extractions. Now he was insistent.
