I would like to share how that outreach inspired our church to, in some sense, begin again.
The timing for sharing this video with the Christian Science Field couldn’t have been more perfect. About a year ago, there was a feeling that we were losing the battle to keep our branch going, and it seemed we would have to close our doors. Some members felt it was time, after so many years of serving, to give up. We didn’t have enough people who were willing to volunteer their time, and the members who did serve had many roles. There was a great need for volunteers in our Reading Room and at our weekly services, and finding substitutes for various posts was difficult. We ended up selling our building, and we now rent space for our church services.
