While preparing for a Sunday church service, I looked down at the book I was reading and considered the black squiggly things we call letters. Of course, we know that letters form words, and words form sentences.
I started thinking about how letters and words are used to convey ideas, inspired thoughts. And I saw in a new way that the substance of these ideas is not found in the things we call letters, or even the paper they’re written on. The substance is found in the source of these ideas, God. The words and sentences meet us where we are and cause us to go deeper, to look beyond the paper or screen they are on.
We are God’s composition.
