From the Directors 1974 Annual Meeting This year's Annual Meeting theme, "Spirituality—The Need of Today," embraces world humanity. To point out the specific direction the theme is to take, a sub theme has been included: Healing resistance to spirituality—the healing that begins with ourselves.

The 1973 Normal Class The Normal class of the Board of Education was held early in December. In compliance with the By-Law, Article XXX, Section 1, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, this class convenes on the first Wednesday of December in each third year.

Answers to today's problems Mary Baker Eddy established five different periodicals to aid students of Christian Science in their search for Truth. Each of them has a unique role, and each is indispensable to spiritual growth and the application of Christian Science in today's world.

New Manager of the Publishing Society We are pleased to announce the appointment of Zadie Hatfield of Hingham, Massachusetts, as Manager of The Christian Science Publishing Society. Miss Hatfield succeeds Paul Sampson, who has resigned.

This announcement pertains to those who are listed in the card section of The Christian Science journal and/or the card section of any edition of The Herald of Christian Science. Starting with January 1974 issues, there will no longer be a provision to make changes free of charge when cards are renewed by churches, societies, Reading Rooms, practitioners, or nurses.

New items in the Reading Room Five new items—a long-play record, two pamphlets, a book, and a Christmas card —are now on sale in Christian Science Reading Rooms. The stereo record, titled "The Glad Sound," contains 15 hymns about Christ Jesus which progressively unfold his life and work.
