New items in the Reading Room Five new items—a long-play record, two pamphlets, a book, and a Christmas card —are now on sale in Christian Science Reading Rooms. The stereo record, titled "The Glad Sound," contains 15 hymns about Christ Jesus which progressively unfold his life and work.

From the Directors Fund Closing and Continuing Needs As announced by The Christian Science Board of Directors during the Annual Meeting, a generous and continuous outpouring of love and giving from throughout the Field has made possible the closing of the Building Fund for the Christian Science Center effective August 31, 1973. Remaining expenses in connection with construction of the Portico on the Extension of The Mother Church and the new buildings will be met from the Fund, together with existing reserves contributed by members over the years for use as needed.

New rates for the Herald Beginning October 1, 1973, new subscription and single copy prices will become effective for the monthly and quarterly editions of The Herald of Christian Science. This decision has been delayed as long as possible out of consideration for our readers.
