From the July 1973 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Roy Garrett Watson, C.S.B., of Houston, Texas, has retired as Treasurer of The Mother Church after thirty-two years of service in that post. In announcing Mr. Watson's retirement, The Christian Science Board of Directors acknowledges with deep appreciation his outstanding achievements during his many years of faithful stewardship of the financial affairs of The Mother Church.

Our new Treasurer, Marc Engeler, C.S., of Geneva, Switzerland, was associated with the Swiss Bank Corporation, Geneva, for fifteen years and for the last six as the manager of its overall investment activities. He served concurrently for eleven years as Committee on Publication for French-speaking Switzerland and has as well been active in the public practice of Christian Science.

A native of Geneva, Mr. Engeler holds a B.A. degree from Geneva Calvin College and an M.A. in law and economics from Geneva State University. He was admitted to the bar and for several years practiced law as a member of the Geneva Bar Association. He is no stranger to the United States, having served with White and Case, a Wall Street law firm, and later with Brown Brothers Harriman, a well-known Wall Street investment firm, as a foreign investment assistant. Earlier he was an associate lawyer in the field of international law with the firm of Poncet Maunoir Turrettini, Geneva. He has written on the investment policy of mutual funds in the United States and on the Common Market monetary and economic structure.
