FROM THE DIRECTORS Church Dedication—Laying of Cornerstone The dedication of a church edifice is a happy occasion. It signifies that the edifice has been fully paid for and that the church or the society is out of debt.
From the Treasurer of The Mother Church Per Capita Tax , as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13, is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church," and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer. " Payments may be sent during the year at any time between January 1 and December 31.
INTERVIEWS WITH APPLICANTS FOR CHURCH MEMBERSHIP Inquiries are frequently received from executive boards of branches of The Mother Church as to the procedure followed in interviewing local applicants for membership in The Mother Church. Each interview is conducted in an atmosphere of love and understanding, and every effort is made to have the applicant feel at ease.

SUPPORTING OUR HERALDS IN THEIR MISSION In response to a widespread interest in the various editions of The Herald of Christian Science, the Editors are taking this opportunity to explain something of the purpose of the Heralds and the nature of their contents. Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who gave the name to each of our periodicals, lists them and indicates their mission in an item entitled "Something in a Name" in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany.

THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE TRUST IN GREAT BRITAIN [As published in The Christian Science Monitor of June 5, 1956 ] Establishment of a trust to be known as The Christian Science Trust in Great Britain was announced in Boston today by The Christian Science Board of Directors. Under existing exchange restrictions it is at present possible for members of The Mother Church in Great Britain and other countries within the sterling area to send per capita tax payments to the Treasurer in Boston.

FROM THE DIRECTORS Announcements During The Services Christian Science services, being always open to the public, are frequently attended by seekers for Truth who have little or no acquaintance with the teachings of Christian Science. Also, for several years, services have been made available occasionally by radio to listeners who are wholly unacquainted with the teachings of Christian Science.
