Branches in the United States that have one or more military installations near them may wish to appoint a member to serve as a Christian Science Minister.

Notice for travelers/visitors Travelers wishing to attend a Thanksgiving Day service in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, or Christian Science Society, may want to check with the church or its Reading Room in advance regarding the hour of service. Many branches are now holding the Thanksgiving service at a time different from their Sunday service.
