Christian Science Ministers for Armed Services Personnel are civilians appointed by their branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, to minister to active-duty service personnel and their families at military installations. Branches in the United States that have one or more military installations near them may wish to appoint a member to serve as a Christian Science Minister. As part of their healing ministry, these individuals visit a base regularly, provide Christian Science treatment to military personnel and dependents when requested, and contact Christian Scientists stationed there. These Ministers maintain regular contact with the base chaplains and other military officials and are generally available to offer assistance as needed on the base. Through their availability and receptivity to the needs on the bases, many Ministers are finding opportunities to introduce our pastor, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

If your branch wishes to appoint a Christian Science Minister and/or would like more information about this unique opportunity to respond to your community, please call Military Ministry in the Clerk's Office at 1-800-288-7155. ext. 3401, or write to:

The First Church of Christ, Scientist Military Ministry, A-170 175 Huntington Avenue Boston, MA 02115-3187
