FOR YOUR INFORMATION

From the November 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Travelers wishing to attend a Thanksgiving Day service in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, or Christian Science Society, may want to check with the church or its Reading Room in advance regarding the hour of service. Many branches are now holding the Thanksgiving service at a time different from their Sunday service.

Nothing is more important to the progress of mankind than Christ-healing. Here are Mary Baker Eddy's own words:"Healing the sick and the sinner with Truth demonstrates what we affirm of Christian Science, and nothing can substitute this demonstration. I recommend that each member of this Church shall strive to demonstrate by his or her practice, that Christian Science heals the sick quickly and wholly, thus proving this Science to be all that we claim for it." (From Art. XXX, Sect. 7, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.)
