Never separated from divine Life

Each time we conquer sin or disease we take a step in the overcoming of death itself.

From the November 1999 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Appearances Tell Us that everything that lives dies; that life ends and death rules. But is this true? Many have glimpsed the fact that something quite different is true, something that is not apparent to a material, superficial view of things.

The twenty-third Psalm tells us, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me." And it concludes, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." It has been helpful to me to realize that the word through in this psalm doesn't indicate an end at all. And a shadow is not substance.

Suddenly,
inexplicably,
the attack stopped.
