Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

WE MUST UNMASK EVIL

" Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. " This advice of Paul's ( Rom.

MAKE ROOM FOR THE CHRIST

One of the most beloved narratives in the Bible is that of the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem and the birth of Christ Jesus while they were there. It is recorded in Luke that "the days were accomplished that she should be delivered" ( 2:6 ).

THE UNIFYING POWER OF GOD

" We , to-day, in this class-room, are enough to convert the world if we are of one Mind; for then the whole world will feel the influence of this Mind; as when the earth was without form, and Mind spake and form appeared," declared Mary Baker Eddy in addressing a Primary class in 1889 (Miscellaneous Writings, pp. 279, 280 ).

LISTENING TO THE STILL SMALL VOICE OF TRUTH

Students of Christian Science are grateful for the divine guidance and protection they enjoy through listening and obeying the still small voice of Truth, God. They have found that even in this age of great industrialization and material advancement, it is possible, even natural, to commune with God as simply and as directly as did the prophets of old.

TRUE BASIC RESEARCH

At this period, great emphasis is being placed on the necessity of penetrating investigation of fundamental facts. " So wrote Mary Baker Eddy in an article now published in her book entitled "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" ( p.

LIFE-GIVING WATERS

One summer day, with the sun bright in the sky and the waters in the ravines merely a trickle, I made my way along the partially dry bed of a little stream. It was necessary to step around some stones that protruded like turtles' backs from the slate bottom.

"FRIEND, GO UP HIGHER"

Christ Jesus showed by parable the true sense of spiritual advancement and its counterfeit of self-aggrandizement. He said ( Luke 14:8-10 ): "When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room.

HOW DO WE RESIST EVIL?

The question, "How do we resist evil?" finds an answer in the following words by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science: "Goodness involuntarily resists evil" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 210 ).

"I SHALL BE SATISFIED"

Christian Science presents the gloriously satisfying view of man as the individual, perfect expression of God. Man includes by reflection all good.
