The essential dignity and worth of the individual are an integral part of the message of Christianity. It is significant that this individual worth is the thing which error in all its varying forms attempts to deny.

Referring to our Master's complete and glorious victory over the mortal sense of life, Mary Baker Eddy writes in the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 494 ): "Is it not a species of infidelity to believe that so great a work as the Messiah's was done for himself or for God, who needed no help from Jesus' example to preserve the eternal harmony? But mortals did need this help, and Jesus pointed the way for them.

Perhaps one of the greatest of the many great healing truths revealed by the Scriptures is that there are not gods many. God, the Scriptures reveal, must be and is one because He is infinite, the All-in-all.

There are two questions which deserve primal consideration. The individual alone can answer them aright.

A Christian Scientist had long enjoyed an almost uniform sense of good health, which he attributed to his understanding, gained through Christian Science, of God as the only Life, and which he took very much for granted; but the time came when he found it necessary to establish his sense of health on the sure foundation of Christianly scientific demonstration. The aggressive mental suggestions poured into thought: Your health has been undermined, you have lost your health, you may not recover, and so on.

I have been blessed by reading the experiences of others who have testified in the  Journal  and in the  Christian Science Sentinel . This expression of gratitude is given with the hope that it will bless others as I have been blessed.

There is perhaps no quality more attractive than joy. We are all drawn to a smiling face, a sunny disposition, a radiant outlook on life.

The Christian Scientist who finds himself an inductee in the armed forces has the spiritual means with which he may solve any problem trying to complicate his experience. There will be many opportunities for him to use and apply the truths of Christian Science and prove himself a Christian soldier.

The decisions we make today will in a large measure determine our peace, health, happiness, and prosperity tomorrow. To obtain the highest good individually and collectively, our decisions must be right, based upon divine Principle.

Occasionally we hear someone say, "Oh, if I could only start all over again, with everything new and fresh, I should live my life in a very different way. " Usually such a remark is made with the conviction that it is impossible to do this.
