Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

EVER-PRESENT SUPPLY

The goodness of God's creation is not a debatable or uncertain condition. It is the unavoidable, inevitable environment in which man finds himself.

SPIRITUAL PROGRESS THROUGH CHURCH MEMBERSHIP

During the year we hear an announcement read from the desk of every Church of Christ, Scientist, that application may be made for church membership. This is a joyful, eagerly-awaited message for those who have been conscientiously preparing themselves for closer affiliation with the Christian Science movement.

ON AVOIDING BAGS WITH HOLES

The prophet Haggai, while listed among the so-called minor prophets, nevertheless established himself as of distinctly major importance to his nation. The Old Testament gives us little more than a brief summary of the counsel with which he stirred the people to a concept of their religious and political responsibilities, but the two chapters comprising the book of Haggai contain advice which might with profit be heeded in this latter day.

GIVING VERSUS GETTING

To prove something we know, should be a joy. A construction engineer who knows well how to build a beautiful bridge or a fine building welcomes the opportunity to prove that he can do it.

PRACTICAL IDEALISM

That which is not understood often takes on an air of mystery; anything beyond the ken of mortal, material thinking appears uncertain and obscure. The Apostle Paul speaks of the mystery of godliness; and when Jesus was questioned by his disciples, "Why speakest thou unto them in parables?" ( Matt.

"PROGRESS IS BORN OF EXPERIENCE"

The experiences which bring us progress need not always be difficult or distressing ones. There are joyous occasions when inspirational moments of spiritual unfoldment, free from all stress or strain, bring to us in gentle ways clear glimpses of Truth.

MORALITY AND COURAGE

The exercise of sound morals and of moral courage in an evil hour is a sure means of healing and liberation. All too often in such circumstances apparent courage is but bravado, a mere pretext of strength and hope; whereas the moral courage which is substantive indicates the presence of spiritual power.
