Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

THE RETURN TO GALILEE

The resurgence of thought toward spiritual things is one of the most heartening signs of the present. Frequently in a newspaper does some columnist, erstwhile man of the world, point to a spiritual awakening as paramount.

CASTING OUT FEAR

Of the myriad plagues mortal sense has inflicted upon mankind, none perhaps has brought more suffering, unhappiness, and sorrow than fear. Men have feared not only the present and the future, but also the past; they have feared that sin or disease or false appetites might attack them or their loved ones because of the so-called law of heredity.

STEADFASTNESS

For any worthy endeavor, confidence and the will to do are necessary in order to make even a start. Still greater application and persistency are required to attain the goal.

REBUILDING "THE OLD WASTE PLACES"

One who returns to a well-known scene after a long absence is happy when he notes that many conditions have been improved. Unsightly structures have been torn down, and beautiful buildings have been erected in their place.

Referring to the experience of the children of Israel who were delivered from bondage in Egypt and led through the wilderness, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" ( p. 566 ), "So shall the spiritual idea guide all right desires in their passage from sense to Soul, from a material sense of existence to the spiritual, up to the glory prepared for them who love God.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE: THE OPEN DOOR TO UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD

There is a yearning in the heart of every man to know more about his true being and to gain a sense of peace and quiet away from the turmoil of material living. Perhaps the remedy for health outside of material means is being sought, perhaps release from disappointment is calling for some satisfactory answer, or maybe that everlasting quest for God, in which every mortal finds himself engaged during his mental pilgrimage, is stirring in one's consciousness.
