Exploring in depth what Christian Science is and how it heals.

GOD'S ANSWER TO RIGHTEOUS PRAYER

THE righteous prayers of the ages have been answered, for God's answer is ever ready; but mortals have not always correctly grasped the divine response. The failure to see all that should have been seen is due to ignorance of the Father and of what may be expected of Him as infinite intelligence and Love.

TAKING THE PRECIOUS FROM THE VILE

No more fitting illustration of separating the precious from the vile comes to thought than that of the refining whereby certain metals come forth separated from impurities mainly by the influence of the intense heat to which the ore is subjected. In order that he might make plain to his listeners the teaching of the kingdom of heaven within, Jesus often used the illustration of separation.

SPIRITUAL ASCENSION

THE infinite possibilities of thought that is conscious only of the presence of God, divine Mind, are proclaimed in Christ Jesus' words, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. " The uplifted spiritual consciousness is unfailingly clad with divine power.

"BLESSED ARE THEY"

WHEN , after his resurrection, Christ Jesus declared to the doubting disciple, "Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed," he pointed out the desirability of possessing a state of understanding that rests upon a spiritual basis. His words have been interpreted as showing forth his commendation of the quality known as faith, and in this respect Christian Science gives assent.

TRANSFIGURATION

THE word "transfiguration" is derived from the Latin words trans, meaning across (implying change), beyond, and figura  meaning figure. In Christian Science we learn that  "all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation," as Mrs.

OUR WEDNESDAY EVENING TESTIMONY MEETINGS

When an individual makes his decision to associate himself with the Christian Science movement by becoming a member of a Church of Christ, Scientist, he can do so with one general purpose only in view, even though he may not so express himself at the time. There can be no real motive in joining such an organization except the desire to help that organization carry out the purposes for which it has been founded and is being carried on.

"THE RESUSCITATING LAW OF LIFE"

ON page 180 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, there is a statement of immeasurable value to the student. It reads: "The patient sufferer tries to be satisfied when he sees his would-be healers busy, and his faith in their efforts is somewhat helpful to them and to himself; but in Science one must understand the resuscitating law of Life.

PRACTICABILITY OF KINDNESS

ABRAHAM LINCOLN exemplified his belief that only kindness is worth while; for charity and forgiveness were the underlying persuasions of his every act. His beautiful life embodied kindness, even though he did not always meet with kindness in return; and it was his benevolence of thought, his humanity, his loving sense of justice, and his determined and consistent adherence to these qualities, which brought about the abolition of one form of slavery from our land.

LOVE YE ONE ANOTHER

AMONG Jesus' immediate followers was a young man named John, who has been called "The Apostle of love. " But he was not so at first; and he had much to overcome.

THE DEMAND FOR CONSECRATION

WHEN we begin to realize the wondrous riches of God's love, the blessings which His allness includes, and the unlimited good He is continually showering upon His children, a deep sense of gratitude fills our hearts and we long more and more to accept and to manifest all that pertains to His likeness, man. All good belongs to spiritual man, by reflection.
