Without the fuller meaning which Christian Science gives to the Scriptural injunction to "honour thy father and thy mother," it was difficult for the writer to see how the accompanying promise, "that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee," would be fulfilled as a natural consequence of observing this law. Deep gratitude is felt, therefore, to Mrs.
On page 107 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in speaking of her discovery of Christian Science, Mrs. Eddy says, "God had been graciously preparing me during many years for the reception of this final revelation of the absolute divine Principle of scientific mental healing.
Among the simplest and most beautiful of the Bible records of so-called miracles performed by the Prophet of Galilee was the healing of the leper. The story of the cleansing of this leper is given in two short verses in the eighth chapter of Matthew: "Behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
The teachings of Christian Science uphold the highest standard for Christian character maintained by the Christian churches,—a standard which all agree has been determined by the words and works of Christ Jesus, the Way-shower. But Christian Science goes on even farther and shows that these selfsame words and works require of a Christian much more than the mere acceptance of this standard before all that the word "Christian" implies can possibly be fulfilled, for the master Christian placed upon every one that believes on his word the unavoidable obligation to "heal the sick" by the grace and power of God.

If each individual man and woman were completely in accord with divine government, we should have the perfection of politics made manifest, and there would then be no need for the ordinary human agencies, organizations, and activities which are commonly considered under the term.
Christian Science is freeing the race from its belief in and fear of evil by making plain the truth that evil is never actual but always suppositional. The existence of any fact renders impossible the actual existence of anything which denies or opposes that fact.
The word Logos, which in the King James Version and many other versions of the New Testament is rendered "the Word," should never, according to an eminent philologist, have been translated out of the Greek, for he maintains that no other language possesses an exact equivalent for it. Recognizing this fact, Dr.
