Christ Jesus taught: "No man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.

It turned out to be one of those completely unexpected and, in time, unforgettable moments. My friend and I were window-shopping, and at one point we ended up in a bookstore where she waited in the front while I looked around.

Today we hear much about making choices and having the freedom to choose. Some choices are trivial; others are more important for our spiritual growth, health, and progress.

At the back of this magazine there is a directory of individuals engaged in the public healing ministry of Christian Science. We thought it might be helpful to Journal readers, and especially to those who are considering fuller engagement in Christian Science healing, to hear some of these practitioners share a few thoughts about how they got started in the full-time practice.

My plane reservations were made months in advance, because I was to fly at the busiest travel time of the year. I arrived in plenty of time at the city airways terminal, but with the crowds and noise and confusion I didn't hear the announcement for my bus to the airport, and I missed that crucial flight.
