Sharing the Monitor in a prairie state

From the June 1998 issue of The Christian Science Journal

How would you like to be the only Christian Scientist in a town where you share your subscription to The Christian Science Monitor with members of your community? This has been the experience of a woman in Dodge City, Kansas. In addition, members from First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wichita, are actively engaged in sharing the Monitor. Below is a description of the work being done.

Our committee in Wichita started with three members meeting twice a month for three hours at a time. We wanted to circulate the Monitor within our city and nearby towns and planned to send pertinent articles to individuals and institutions that were directly related to the subject matter. But we didn't want to intrude. So, we made many pre-calls where a particular article would be of real interest.

As a result of our calls, we've mailed approximately 350 articles to many sources around the state. We've received many fine letters and comments of appreciation.
