Before the dawn,"
A poet sang.
I made my song
In darkest night,
A tremulous note
From a straitened throat.
But it sufficed,
That little faith,
To meet the grace
That swayed my heart
And daily life
To reflections of
God's eternal love.
Faith is the dawn.
And in its light
All is secure
That night obscured.
God's face is seen
In this very place
When faith meets grace.
