Putting on record insights into the practice of Christian Science.

THE SAVING CHRIST

When John the Baptist saw Jesus approaching him, before the Master was baptized by him in Jordan, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world," words which will never be erased from the annals of time. Did John mean by these words that it was the human Jesus who should do this wonderful thing—take away the sin of the world? No; only the Christ, which Jesus declared and demonstrated, could do that.

TRUE ADVOCACY

For centuries humanity in general has been subjected to suffering on account of its mistakes, ignorant or willful. In spite of the inspiring and comforting statement, "God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved," humanity has been victimized through the ages by condemnation and self-condemnation.

STILLNESS NOT STAGNATION

It is obvious that when Mrs. Eddy wrote, in "Retrospection and Introspection" (pp.

BEING TRUE TO OUR REAL SELFHOOD

Christian Science reveals the true nature of God and man. God, it declares, is perfect Mind, and man is Mind's perfect image, reflection, or idea.

STUDY AND WORK

In no particular, perhaps, did our Leader manifest greater wisdom than in her ordination of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" as "our only preachers" ( Christian Science Quarterly, Explanatory Note, p. ii ), and in her provision for the Lesson-Sermons to be read in our churches.

LOYALTY TO GOD

The understanding of God is the remedy for every error under the sun. God and His manifestation is all that exists.

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE AND HUMANITY'S NEEDS

Christian Science is the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus when he said, "I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth" ( John 14:16, 17 ). That Christian Science is bringing comfort to mankind today is being constantly proved by those who understand its teachings, for it is supplying their needs often in truly marvelous ways.

PRACTICAL CHRISTIANITY

As the highest bringer of good tidings, the teacher and demonstrator of eternal Truth, Christ Jesus established practical Christianity on the changeless Principle, which he named God, the Father. What he knew about God revealed to him that divine aid is sufficient to supply every need of men.

RIGHT RELATIONSHIP

Probably most Christian Science practitioners would agree that a majority of the problems brought to them by patients have to do with a finite, human sense of relationship. If the problem is not due to the mistake of someone's assuming a false sense of obligation and responsibility for the welfare, maintenance, and happiness of others, it is likely to be due to the dissatisfaction and discontent of others who resent such assumption of responsibility and regard it as domination or meddlesomeness.

A GREAT PRIVILEGE

Christian science today is revealing God to mankind in a truly marvelous way; and anyone may learn of this revelation and make it his own by study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings.
