Putting on record insights into the practice of Christian Science.

CONTINUITY OF BEING

MEN have ever been faced with the problem as to whether life ends with what is called death, or endures eternally. Uncertainty on the question has lain heavily upon them—lies heavily upon many of them still.

SELF-PRESERVATION

THE instinct of self-preservation is deeply rooted in human thought, and this fact points to the eternality of good. But because, through having been educated in material theories, individuals seek by material means to preserve life, health, and strength in the physical body, their objective is mistaken and they fail in their attempt.

INDIVIDUALISM

IN many quarters the subject of individualism is being discussed and debated. It is held by some that individual effort, planning, and accomplishment should be restricted, or regimented.

THE HARMONY OF EXISTENCE

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is making a great stand today for the truth of being. It is affirming this truth, this spiritual truth, sometimes in the face of persistent opposition, thereby often drawing upon itself the ridicule and censure of spiritually unenlightened human thought.

DEDICATION VERSUS DEBT

THE fact that Christian Science churches are not dedicated until they are free from debt has a deep and important significance for both the church organizations and individual Christian Scientists. DISSOLVING THE CLOUDS OF CORPOREAL SENSE

SOMETIMES Christian Scientists remark on how difficult it would be for them to continue facing the problems of human existence without an understanding of Christian Science. At such times they are remembering the days that are gone, and thinking of the mystery of existence as it then appeared to them; they are dwelling in thought on the struggles they had with the beliefs of sickness and sin, and other forms of evil.

TRUE WISDOM

The acquirement of wisdom has been commended for centuries by sage and philosopher, by Christian and Confucian, by atheists and those called pagans. Bible writers urged wisdom as the way of life, as a means of deliverance and protection, as a bestower of health and happiness; yes, the writer of the Proverbs states of wisdom, "She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

TRUTH AFFIRMED CONFERS HARMONY

Christian Science is revealing to men that spiritual truth destroys mortal error and brings harmony, health, and peace into their lives. But what is spiritual truth, and what mortal error? Spiritual truth is the truth about reality, about God and His creation or universe, including man.
