Nowadays, many believe that God can no longer respond to humanity’s needs, as was the case many generations ago. During biblical times, manna fell from the sky to nourish a population in the desert (see Exodus, chapter 16 ), oil filled vases previously empty to save a poor widow (see II Kings 4:1-7 ), and loaves of bread multiplied to be distributed to a hungry crowd (see Mark 6:32-43 ).
