The Magician’s Twin: C. S. Lewis on Science, Scientism, and Society
Edited by John G. West
Discovery Institute Press, Seattle, Washington, 2012
Despite the title, this is not a spin-off on a Harry Potter novel. It’s a collection of essays by outstanding thinkers such as John G. West and James A. Herrick.
Using The Abolition of Man, a series of lectures by C. S. Lewis as its basis, the book explores the influence of science and biotechnology on contemporary society. Well known for his children’s literature, especially The Chronicles of Narnia, Lewis was also a noted Christian theologian whose books were written for and are still loved by a vast public audience.
