Off the southern coast of Maine are a number of small islands where sheep are kept. The owners of those sheep live mostly on the mainland, and until recent years neither food nor shelter has been provided for their island flocks.
The Christ idea which heals and saves is always active in human behalf, but "the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There are not yet many Christian Scientists who are such because their ancestors were Scientists before them. Most of us were in time past connected with other denominations toward which we yet hold the kindliest feelings.
All giving and receiving is reciprocal; you entertain angels unawares, but they cannot impart more or higher things than you are in a state to receive.
