A. V. S. asks: "Can Christian Science cure acute cases where there is necessity of immediate relief as in membranous croup?"

It can for its remedial power is positive and its application direct. It cannot fail to heal in every case of disease, if that case is conducted by one who understands the science sufficiently to demonstrate its higher possibilities.

L. M. writes: "If I have the toothache severely and nothing stops it until I have it extracted then the pain ceases; has the mind or extracting or both together caused the pain to cease?
