Notes and Comments

From the March 1887 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Subscribers not receiving their magazines promptly, should write the Manager, Tremont Temple, Room C, Boston; also, if they do not receive the right number of copies.

It is not every editor who possesses so valuable an assistant as does Thomas Bailey Aldrich, of the Atlantic, in a handsome Irish setter. This noble animal will take in his mouth a roll of manuscript, sent by a would-be contributor, and carry it straight to the editorial waste-basket. Not every reader of the Atlantic realizes where the credit should be bestowed for this excellent magazine.
