Among the thousands who have been healed through Christian Science, I rank as one of the most thankful. I am an electrician, and almost three years ago, while on duty one evening, I came in contact with forty-four hundred volts of electricity. I realized that I was beyond where any mortal could help me, and at that time I knew very little of Christian Science. I did know, however, that God is Life, and that all power is His. In the pain and agony I turned to God, acknowledging that He is All in all; and as I did this my hold was broken and I fell to the ground, receiving what seemed to be terrible injuries. A doctor was called by the company, but he said there was no help for me. I was taken to a hospital, where on ex amination the injuries were pronounced very severe. It was nearly seven hours before I regained consciousness, and in the mean time I had been put in a plaster cast. A few hours later my wife called at the hospital, then went to see a Christian Science practitioner, and I had absent treatment given me. The fifth day the cast was removed; the eleventh day I walked unassisted, on crutches, down a long flight of stairs to a cab, and was taken home. The seventeenth day I went back to work, perfectly healed in every way, although the doctor had claimed that if I lived at all I would be without any use of my limbs for the rest of my life.
For this wonderful healing I am very thankful to God. As for Mrs. Eddy, I know that God will reward her and also the Scientist who was so kind to me.
