I am thankful to Christian Science for an interpretation of the Scriptures which has removed many of the mysteries and given me an understanding of God that I can reconcile with my common sense. I find in it an every-day religion to be practised in place of a Sunday one to be preached, and in proportion as I have lived up to my highest understanding, God's infinite supply of good has been opened up to me. In the four years that we have been studying Science and Health, by Mrs. Eddy, great changes have taken place in our home. A fondness for liquor, the tobacco habit, and the use of profane language have left me. My constitution, which was formerly very weak, so that I was sick a great deal, has been made strong, which fact is shown by an increase of over forty pounds in my weight. My wife enjoys greatly improved health and our two children do not know what medicine is, and with the help of a practitioner many annoying complaints have been effectually overcome. Another blessing for which I am deeply indebted to my slight knowledge of man's God-given dominion over all adverse conditions, as made plain in Christian Science, is a marked increase in my financial income. I also find that I am conducting my business without many of the worries and perplexities of former years. I am truly thankful to God for the life of the Founder and Leader of the Christian Science movement, through whom the Christian way of healing the sick as Christ Jesus taught it has been reestablished on earth. May this truth—as truth will—go ever onward, carrying its blessings to all mankind.— Baltimore, Md.
