I feel it a duty as well as a pleasure to give my testimony for publication, hoping thus to help some one who may be discouraged, as I was when I first learned of Christian Science. I had been under medical treatment for many months, but was not receiving any benefit. A growth in my breast seemed to be much worse and was extremely painful. Indeed I cannot describe my suffering, both mental and physical, at this time. When I went to my doctor the last time I asked him what could be done for me, but when he proposed an operation, I told him I would never submit to it. A friend who was a Christian Scientist then asked me to try Christian Science, as she said I could be healed. I visited a practitioner, and I was healed. This was more than six years ago, and I am perfectly healed of the trouble in my breast and many others. I am truly grateful to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has brought to the world this great truth. East Oakland, Cal.
