For nearly twenty years I was a constant sufferer from severe backaches and other ills of womankind. I was treated by the best physicians, and I believe they were conscientious in their endeavors to help me, but they finally gave up and said that nothing except an operation would relieve the trouble. This I would not submit to, and for a time it seemed there was no help for me. In July, 1906, while in Ashland, Ore., I met some Christian Scientists, who, after learning of my case, advised me to read some Science literature. I became interested, and purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. My improvement was phenomenal. I did not take a drop of medicine for more than a year, and now at the end of two years I can hardly realize that such a change was possible,—pain and suffering gone, strength and hope returned. I had one month's absent treatment.
