It is a great joy to be able to tell my experiences since...

From the March 1910 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is a great joy to be able to tell my experiences since I have understood a little of Christian Science. When it was brought to my notice my baby girl, seven months old, was very ill. From the age of six weeks she had been treated by a doctor for tubercular trouble. We did everything which the doctor suggested, spent a large sum of money in different foods, but with no good results, for the child gradually grew worse and I was told by my friends that I would never be able to rear her. I thought so myself, as she cried continually, and I could get no rest day or night.

When we had entirely given up hope, a friend recommended Christian Science. I had never heard anything about it, but I wanted my child to live, and I decided to see a practitioner, who began to give the child treatment. In a few weeks' time there was a marked improvement, and I was able to rest at night. Today my little girl is a fine healthy child over two years old. This is only one of the many blessings I have received since I came to Christian Science, and through this understanding I now know that God is our Life, our strength, our All-in-all. I am deeply thankful to God, and grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the wonderful light she has been the means of bringing to the world.—
