It is with great pleasure that I give this testimony, as a small evidence of gratitude for the benefit I have received through Christian Science. For twenty years I had been a constant sufferer from abnormal growths, in which time I had been treated by many eminent physicians,—one specially skilled in surgery; but after a thorough examination it was decided that an operation would mean instant death. I was in fact advised by other doctors that an operation would prove fatal. As there was no seeming hope for me, I was persuaded by kind friends to try Christian Science, and I received benefit from the first treatment. After eight weeks of study and help from a practitioner, I was cured of all suffering conditions and was fast regaining my normal size, the enlargement being reduced from the first week of treatment.
After five years' study of Christian Science, I am now able to do more work than at any time previous to gaining this understanding of the truth which makes free. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for Christian Science, and I am happy to live in this age when we may know God and man's relation to Him,—to know that we live, move, and have our being in God, here and now. I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the text-book which gives us this knowledge of one God, one Mind, divine Principle.
