It is over four years since I first began the study of Christian Science. At the time my whole future looked so dark that I did not care to live. I was, however, ready to grasp at anything which would bring health and happiness. Although my own condition was bad enough, it was nothing to that of my husband, and I could almost see myself left alone with two little children. We had traveled to the mountains for his health, but all without results until I commenced the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and attended services at the Christian Science church. For a year and a half I went regularly without my husband, and I felt very unhappy that he did not go with me until I suddenly found out that he had been studying during this time and that he was healed. Then, on the Sunday that I became a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of this city, he came to church, and is now one of us.
I cannot find words to express my gratitude to God. also to Mrs. Eddy, for all that Christian Science has done for me and mine. It has met every need for our little daughters and ourselves, and has given us a spiritual uplifting which brings peace, health, and good will toward all mankind. I hope to be able to let my life show my gratitude, and that I may gain a better understanding daily.
