It is with a sense of deep gratitude that I testify to the power of Truth and of ever-present Love, for in so doing I feel that I am fulfilling a sacred duty. For several years I suffered pain in the left arm, and though I used material remedies, I experienced only temporary relief. As the pain returned from time to time, I patiently submitted to this trouble, until between March and April of 1911 it became so severe that I could find no rest either by day or by night. While in this trying condition I called in the physician who lived nearest to me. He prescribed external and internal remedies, but these failed to relieve me. A second physician was summoned, who made his diagnosis and gave prescriptions; but these also proved of no avail. The arm was in such a condition that I had to carry it in a sling. Then a sense of enlightenment came over me, and I wrote to a Christian Science practitioner. It took exactly three days for my letter to reach her, and my trust in the healing power of divine Love was rewarded, for the pain ceased and has not returned since.
At that time (that is, when the truth was first revealed to me), I was living in Finland, far from any Christian Science practitioner. Today I am happy to be able to study Mrs. Eddy's teaching and am gaining steadily in my understanding of the subject.— Wiesbaden, Germany.
