With a heart full of gratitude I wish to tell of the many blessings which God has sent me. Since childhood I had been ill as a result of a nervous disease through which, as was discovered later, I had also become short-sighted. In my youth I suffered with a stomach and bowel trouble, and later on with hemorrhoids and rheumatism. It seemed that I had a host of ills to struggle with, and all I longed to possess of the things of this world was health. Everything that was tried to bring relief had no lasting effect, and I believed the end to be near when, in the greatest need, God sent help through Christian Science, and that which all had doubted, above all myself, now became true.
I recovered my health, I was freed in a short time of all my diseases, not as formerly for a time only, but fully and completely, for now evil in whatever form it presents itself has lost its asserted power over me. My faith in the ever-present power of divine Love is firmly grounded. How good it is not to worry about or to fear a dark future, but to know that evil in whatever form it may appear has no power and is not real, for God, good, fills all space. This is a joy which surpasses the possession of all the treasures of the earth. Thanks to all who showed me the way to true understanding.— Northeim i. Hannover, Germany.
