It is a joy to say I have had many proofs of the healing power of Christian Science. For about seven years I have been studying the Bible under the guidance of the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." During this time I have not been tempted to return to the old method of healing by medicine, or to any other method than that taught and practised by Jesus, and retaught and repractised by Mrs. Eddy. I realize now how insecure and unsettled my idea of God was before I came in touch with our Leader's teaching and knew of her exemplification of the truth of what she taught. I am deeply grateful for her living ministry. I thought I loved God and the Bible, but the Scripture was not to me what our Leader has shown it to be,—an ever opening treasure of helpful counsel and healing.
I am thankful to God for the ever extending good made manifest in the world through the study and practice of the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy. I have been healed of rheumatism, liver trouble, and many minor disorders; also of petty imaginings and criticisms. Although there is much to learn and much to overcome, I am grateful for the understanding I have gained of Christian Science. I am thankful to have learned through the study of Science and Health that the way in Christian Science is the way in Christ Jesus, demonstrable if we rely strictly on Principle and consciously "live, and move, and have our being" in God.— Grand Rapids, Mich.
