In 1894 a dear friend told me that I could be healed by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I began to read this book, and was indeed entirely healed. For sixteen years previously I not only had suffered from bone, lung, throat, and stomach diseases, but had been tormented by fear and worry as well. Christian Science delivered me from all these evils. It seemed more difficult to win my freedom from sin, but I am glad to say that through living in obedience to the instructions in our text-book, I can now shut out the sinful sense and allow the divine sense to rule. I am ever striving to learn the Christ way. My first prayer was: "Lord, I put my hand in Thine. Wherever Thou leadest, I will follow." I am always longing to help others out of darkness into the understanding of Christian Science, and to tell them of God. I thank God for the revelation of Himself through Christ and Christian Science. — Nappanee, Ind.
