I am deeply grateful for the help Christian Science has been to me. My life has had quite a new light shed upon it through the study of Mrs. Eddy's book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and numbers of blessings have come to me. "With us is the Lord our God to help us," is a well-known text to all Christian Scientists, and is one that is proven daily.
The kindly help of a practitioner saved me from a crippled hand through severe burning. It was a convincing proof of God's never failing presence and help to those who look wholly to Him. I was badly burned through the ignition of a box of matches in my hand, the heads of the matches sticking to the palm. The pain was intense, affecting the whole of my arm, and the hand was so badly burned that the tendons were seriously contracted; but I knew divine Love is everywhere, and within the hour of sending to a practitioner all pain left me. I became quite calm and was able to go on with my household duties, including spring cleaning. I washed floors, scrubbed paint, although my friends warned me of blood-poisoning, and felt no inconvenience. My hand was beautifully healed in ten days without the slightest scar. Friends who saw the hand when the accident occurred, thought it a most wonderful demonstration. My prayer is, "Open thou my mouth, O God, that I may show forth thy praise."— Nottingham, England.
