It has been wonderfully proven to me that God is indeed the great Physician. For seven years after the birth of my child I was in very poor health; in fact I had been delicate all my life. All kinds of medicine were tried, and I submitted to two operations, but there was no improvement. I was under a doctor's care for kidney trouble, which he said was affecting the lungs. I had often heard of Christian Science, but like many others wondered what it could do for me.
My husband would come home night after night and find me in bed, not able to get his supper. At last he said to me that if he suffered as I did and no doctor could help him, he would try Christian Science. Still I did not want to do so, but one night we went to a Christian Science lecture, and that week I called on a practitioner and got some reading matter. From that day to this I have been well and happy. I have been able to lay aside glasses after wearing them since I was four years old. The oculist had told my mother that without an operation I would become blind, as there was no other cure. I am thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for this wonderful truth. My husband also is thankful for what Science has done for us.—Antioch, Cal.
