O happy day, when Christian Science comes to us and clears away the terrors of evil, and as the new day dawns, we find ourselves in its light pure, perfect, as God's children. It was the happiest day of my life when the light of Truth was given to me some ten years ago at a time when, despairing of life, I asked the help of a practitioner who kindly helped me to realize that God is Love, that man, as His child, is perfect, and that as I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy I would learn my true birthright.
From childhood I had been under the thought of loss, my mother having passed on in my early years, and fear that I, too, would pass out early only held me down in beliefs of ill health of which I soon found myself a victim. I had no organic disorder, but was subject to many other ills and weaknesses; in the cold season I would sit for days with my head tied up and in pain. I doctored with different systems, but became worse, and was afraid to retire at night for fear I might not awake. It was at this time I first learned of Christian Science. I can never describe my first night of rest, and the relief from fear. I gained gradually, and since that time have had many blessings. I owe all that I am to God for bringing me to this glorious truth.
In the years that are gone, I have passed through many sorrows and losses, but Christian Science has never failed me, and I can sing in the words of Scripture, "Glory to God in the highest" for having given us our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has so faithfully shown us the way.— Columbus, Ohio.
