It is with deepest gratitude to God for Christian Science that I tell of my healing. I was in ill health for many years, during which I had treatment from physicians of different schools, also tried hygiene and health cures, but without avail. It was not until I was in extreme mental suffering that Christian Science was resorted to; and then within a very short time there was a great change in me. I was given a sense of the nearness of God, of His goodness and protection and ever ready help, which I had not seen before; and I felt a deeper friendship for man. The physical healing followed soon, some of the discordant conditions yielding quickly and some slowly. I have been healed of chronic rheumatism of years' standing, heart trouble, nervous chills which were most terrible, sore eyes of a bad type, coughs and colds which I always had during winter months, and many other ailments.
I am grateful for the physical healing, but much more so for the spiritual uplift, for the knowledge of the truth about God and man as revealed by the Bible in the light of Mrs. Eddy's writings. This truth is demonstrable and practicable in everyday life; fear is being destroyed through the understanding of God as infinite Mind and of man as the reflection of God. I cannot express in words my thankfulness to God and my gratitude to our dear Leader for the blessings that have come to me, and for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." I aim to make it my daily task to do my Father's business, and to read the Bible and our textbook, which are my only companions and comfort.— Waynoka, Okla.
