I turned to God for healing in a time of great stress, yet the spiritual uplift has been of so much greater value that in my joy the past ills are often forgotten until I see some other wanderer groping in the darkness. Over two years ago after seeking for years in every direction for relief from a legion of ills, and being brought to the very end of mortal existence, as it were, I turned unreservedly to Christian Science for help and almost instantaneously was entirely relieved of all symptoms of cancer of the stomach. I still suffered from fear of food, sleeplessness, a long-standing bowel trouble, weakness from several operations, varicose veins, and other ills too numerous to mention, but later these were overcome through persistent study of the Bible in connection with "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and some of the other Christian Science publications.
This healing has been permanent. I am in perfect health, but most of all do I prize the spiritual growth and power to resist evil, and rejoice that I have the witness within myself that I am a child of God. Each day is rich with blessings. My greatest desire is to serve God more closely, and my heart goes out in gratitude to Him for giving us one who was noble and brave enough to make it possible for us to share these blessings. I hope some day to be worthy of church membership as a true Christian Scientist. All my healings have been brought about through earnest study and devotion to God.
