I wish to express my great thankfulness for all the good that has come into my life since I got the opportunity, eight years ago to learn about Christian Science. I did not turn to it on account of physical illness, although I had been delicate since childhood, had been treated by doctors, and had gone through several operations. My longing was to get a clearer conception of my relationship to God and to all that surrounded me. I shall never forget the impression made on me by Mrs. Eddy's interpretation of the Lord's Prayer, as given on page 16 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Continued striving to practice the truths of which our Leader has given us such a clear explanation in her writings, helps me to meet all trials with the assurance that God is omnipotent, is all Life and all Love. To be able to reflect this Love to some extent under all circumstances is my sincere desire.
Many are the problems in the form of sorrow or illness that have been solved through the application of Christian Science. Sometimes the healing has not come immediately, but I have never been tempted to return to doctors and medicine. When my own understanding of the truth has not been clear enough, loving assistance has always been given by our practitioners, and I have received full assurance of the truth contained in Mrs. Eddy's words, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (Science and Health, p. 494). I also wish to express my gratefulness for all the literature that is sent for our edification. I am happy to be a member of our branch church here and hope to be accepted also in The Mother Church. — Stockholm, Sweden.
